Jolly Club ?

Kan iemand mij een uitleg geven wie / wat eigenlijk Jolly Club is ?
Vele fabrieksracers zoals de GTA en Alfetta GT die door Autodelta waren geprepareerd werden in sommige gevallen door Jolly Club ingeschreven voor de race / rally ?

Uitleg moet ik je schuldig blijven, maar ben wel nieuwsgierig geworden. Na ff zoeken op het web denk ik dat het een raceteam uit Milaan was, maar kom de naam ook tegen als een 4-uurs race in Monza...

Autodelta's works programme was officially brought to an end after the Enna race, some cars being sold off and a handful of new ones getting built up for special customers like the Jolly Club, Jean Rolland, Alan Day and Count van der Straten whose Racing Team VDS actually won the TZ2's last international endurance race, 1967's Nurburgring 1000kms. Many subsequently went onto do well in national events as well as hillclimbing, further cementing this little cars big reputation.

The GTA triumphed even on its first outings. Seven GTAs took the first seven places, for example, at the Jolly Club 4-hour race in Monza. With Andrea de Adamich and other great drivers at the helm, the cars began to steal the thunder of the Lotuses that had previously reigned supreme. Adamich won over the Dutch circuit of Zandwoort to take the European touring championships.

Raceteam dat gesponserd wordt door een hotelketen ?
Jolly Club moet blijkbaar wel heel goede contacten ( of heel veel geld ) hebben gehad met Autodelta .

Jolly club was een zeer succesvol race team dat met verschillende auto's (van verschillende fabrikanten) meedeed aan allerlei races en rallies.
