The original Rio model , cream and brown, is a reproduction of the Alfa 6C1900 displayed at the Arese museum. The 6C1900 was the latest serie of the 6C1750 (7th series if I recall well) which was slightly rebored in 1933 to obtain the 1900cc capacity.Rio heeft jaren geleden al een heel aardig model van de 6c 1750 Berlina van 1932 uitgebracht, in een bruin-zachtgele kleurencombinatie.
Yet, from 1930-31 Alfa had opened its own coachbuilding department just for the productkion of the standard saloons, and the 6C900 wears such one. Now, the same coachwork was already used for the previous saloons on 1750 chassis. The new issues of Rio are thus correct in that they share the same body with the 1900, and the colours are plausible. I agree on the price issue, I guess they justify it with the much nicer spoke wheels.
