Hij loopt!!!

De cabs zaten echt potdicht. Heb eea schoon kunnen maken door alles goed te laten weken met carb cleaner. Als ik nu de pomp van de carb bendien krijg ik een mooi straaltje benzine eruit

Nadat ik alles weer gemonteerd had een startpoging gedaan, in eerste instantie weer niets. Shoke open.... paar keer goed op het gas getrapt en vervolgens nogmaals gestart. Eindelijk sloeg ie aan! hehe.... maar als ik het gas loslaat slaat ie ook weer vrij snel af

Dus huidige probleem is nu:
-slaat niet echt direct aan, moet ff doorstarten
-bij gas los slaat ie snel weer af

Waar zou dit nu aan liggen? Is dat gewoon afstelling of toch nog niet schoon genoeg of vacuumlek of .....?

De motor liep voor de rest niet verkeerd. Bij gas in reageerde hij direct, zonder tegen te sputteren.

Nog steeds is alle hulp welkom

Ik ga morgen de air by-pass screws controleren..... dat schroefje met dat platickapje... wellicht dat dat de problemen veroorzaakt :S

en dan volgens onderstaande procedure...het kreng zal toch moeten aanslaan....grrrrr

“Lean Best Idle” Procedures

After confirming the linkage allows the throttle lever to seat against the Idle Speed Screw. Back off the Idle Speed Screw, then turn the screw in until it contacts the throttle lever and turn it in ½ turn. Turn in the Mixture Screw in until it “LIGHTLY” seats, then back it out 1 full turn. Loosen the 8mm wrench size nuts on the “air bleed” screws, turn in the air screws until it seats then tighten the nut.

a. Start the engine, it will run slow and like a tractor. As long as it will stay running, the idle speed is not important at this point.

b. First, turn in the mixture screw until the engine runs worse, then back out the screw ¼ turn at a time. The engine should start to smooth out. Continue to back the screw out ¼ turn at a time until the screw does nothing or runs worse. Then turn it back in to the point where it ran best. You want to tune the engine by sound. Adjust each mixture screw to the best, fastest and smoothest running point. Do this procedure with each mixture screw.

c. Now you may adjust the Idle Speed Screw. It should be sensitive and only require ¼ turn in or out to achieve the idle speed you like.

d. These Carburetors are commonly used in pairs, this makes the synchronization important, be sure to bring the high flowing Carburetor down to the low flow Carburetor. Then bring them both up to “proper” Idle speed. The Idle Speed Screws are not opened more than ½ turn in.

e. After synchronizing multiple Carburetors, reconfirm steps b. c. & d.

Sorry dat ik even "inbreek" op dit topic maar ben vandaag zelf bezig geweest om de carbs op mijn 1600 blokje in een Brievenbusje af te stellen. Wat me in bovenstaande procedure niet helemaal duidelijk is, moet je steeds alle vier de mixture screws tegelijk eenzelfde (kwart) slag verstellen of moet je eerste alle vier een slag openzetten en dan deze procedure eerst voor één carburateur doen? Als dat zo is, moet je dan niet als je de 4e hebt gedaan weer opnieuw beginnen met de 1e? Is dan toch nooit helemaal synchroon te krijgen? Ik heb overigens ook de "air bleed" schroeven iets opengezet maar die zouden volgens bovenstaand verhaal echt dicht moeten?
