Hi, I'm new to this forum. I can't read your language but I enjoy reading the pics here a lot.

I had build some Alfa model in 1:24. Plastic kits or diecast rebuild. And I had just completed the GTV Spider convertion from a Tamiya kit.

Only one small question, if you've gone this far (which is far beyond my imagination), why didn't you convert the wipers?

Die keuze zul je toch zelf moeten maken. Beide zijn behoorlijk goede modellen voor hun prijs. Elk model, ook de dure handbouw, heeft foutjes. Welke foutjes storen en welke niet is persoonlijk. Zorg dat je beide modellen 'live' hebt gezien en neem je beslissing.

Wow, this is VERY impressive!
To tell you the truth, at first I thought that these photos were about a new Tamiya release. But you did it all yourself, reshaping the backside, scratch building the rims, engine conversion, interior conversion. I'm very impressed indeed! Bravo!

I recommend everybody who didn't already do so, to take a look in the building diary on the website. Especially the last section, where the end result is compared to the standard Tamiya GTV.

I love the wheels.... My advice: maybe you could try an ink wash on the spider logo to bring out the letters? And is it me or is the engine too big?

Can you post some pictures of the inside?

Bijgaand fotootje komt van AlfaBB.com, daar staat het kleine coupeetje op de Autosalonvan Turijn in 1958.



Wie geïnteresseerd is in meer info over deze auto moet de thread op AlfaBB maar eens lezen (foto's zie je alleen als je ingelogd bent).

Hahaha...simply because I didn't think that far when I build the body. At first I just want to make the exterior conversion so I didn't touch that part.
And later when I convert it into RHD it was too tight on timing to make corrections as I had to attend a local model gathering--so I just ignore it.

I will have some final detail up like washing the wheels and logos, and adding the "3.0 V6 24V" wordings when I have my final photo sets on the webpage gallery (will be update little later).
Yes the engine was little scale up( +6~7% ) because 1) the "Alfa Romeo" wordings were tooooo small to sculpt and 2) make the main feature little bigger allow better visual effect on a miniatures.

Een blauw Mebetoys Giulia TI in mint staat (heb nergens een chipje kunnen ontdekken)
Gezien de prijzen op carmodel (al weet ik niet hoe serieus ik die nemen moet) ben ik er lekker goedkoop aangekomen en hij staat erg leuk naast de Nuova van hetzelfde merk

Nice paintwork. As usual Any pics of the real car?

Ik heb in deze topic al vaak "zwaailicht-verbouwingen" laten zien van Italiaanse eBayers. Daar zijn zeer geslaagde modellen bij, vrijwel exacte kopieën van bestaande auto's van de Polizia (di Stato, Comunale, Proviciale, Locale, etc), Carabinieri, Guardia di Finanza en nog wat andere instituten. Er zitten ook nogal wat fantasiemodellen tussen. Ik heb wel eens de plank misgeslagen door te veronderstellen dat een 156 Crosswagon van de GdF zo'n fantastiemodel was, later vond ik een foto waaruit bleek dat het voorbeeld wel degelijk bestaat.

De laatste tijd lijken de aanbieders toch wel een beetje door te slaan en wordt zo'n beetje elke Alfa (andere merken trouwens ook) van zwaailichtjes, streepjes en teksten voorzien. De prijs vind ik enerzijds best acceptabel (€25 of €30 voor een basismodel + accessoires + tijd), anderzijds vind ik dat toch te veel geld voor een fantasiemodel. Dat laatste is natuurlijk heel persoonlijk. Ik vind het ondertussen niet zinvol meer om die verbouwing hier steeds te vermelden.

Als een soort afsluiter daarvan wilde ik jullie deze "fantastische" verbouwingen toch niet onthouden:



Weg mèt die ouwe Gallardo's! De Italiaanse politie is ondertussen wel toe aan wat nieuws, dus pimpen we een 8c Competizione (M4 neem ik aan) blauw. Van de inmiddels bekende eBayer Linguabifida.


Een nieuwbakken zwaailichtfantast is de eBayer Linea2619.



Een Montreal in Guardia di Finanza kleuren. Dat mochten de heren van de Italiaanse FIOD gewild hebben . Over die kleur: ik probeerde er een tijd geleden er achter te komen wanneer de auto's nou donkerblauw (met gele en soms ook groene bies) waren en wanneer lichtgrijs. Verschil in afdeling, periode? Ik vond op een Italiaans forum een soortgelijke vraag. Antwoord: "Dat weten ze zelf ook niet". Beide kleurstellingen lijken door elkaar heen gebruikt te worden.
