Van de Sprint GTA ('65) ken ik de officiële kleuren niet, de keuze uit rood of wit gold in ieder geval voor de GTA 1300 van '68.

Kleine aanvulling, de witte GTA 1300 Junior is ook geleverd met groene stickers. Maar wat kleuren betreft inderdaad alleen Rood en Wit voor wat de stradales betreft. Het is niet uitgesloten dat auto's (zeker de latere GTaM's) die af fabriek (lees Autodelta) rechtstreeks als full race auto besteld werden wel in andere kleuren zijn uitgeleverd maar dat was dan op héél speciale bestelling.

Ook zo moe van dat eeuwige rood? Best maakte een leuke keuze met deze kleurvariatie op de 33.2. Op de foto lijkt hij meer zilvergrijs (misschien door de rode omgeving) maar hij schijnt toch echt blauw metallic te zijn, de auto waarmee Portugese volksheld Antonio Peixinho in 1972 deelnam aan de 2-uurs straten race van Luanda, hoofdstad van de voormalige Portugese kolonie Angola.




Van de originele auto vond ik tot nu toe alleen dit fotootje, ik weet dat er meer bestaan, o.a. één recht van voren.

Een beetje ouderwets grote overgang van carrosserie naar ruitpatij, maar voor de rest ziet hij er alleraardigst uit.

De gele heeft mijn voorkeur.

Geel is absoluut de beste kleur voor dit model! Mij storen trouwens de te dikke ringen om de koplampen eerlijk gezegd het meest. Maar goed, met de Starline-prijzen mag je natuurlijk niet al te kritisch zijn.

I recently bought a few old models of the 70s, including this one:



I thought it was John Day, but Day never issued a Tipo B (P3), according to all sources. There's no marking under it, except a painted sign (containing maybe a C) and what appears to be a # 48. It may or may not relate to the manufacturer catalogue number, or any identification making sense for who assembled it.

I'm sure I have a picture of this very model somewhere, but it is definitely not in Rampini nor in the miniature magazine I have, and I failed to find back the pic which is impressed in my memory.

Browsing Fer's listing, the likely candidates might be Classic Cars or Plumbie Inter, as it is white metal and represents a 1934, cart sprung Tipo B (not the Stanley 1935 Dubonnet version, shown in the background).

Anyone owns the same and/or can identify it?

Looking at the level of detailing of the wheels, could it be C-scale? Check this post for reference.

That would also declare the 'C' underneath.

Thanks Hans, but according to Fer, C Scale never issued a Tipo B. Moreover, the peculiar feature is how small the wheels are: compare with the Stanley. The C Scale shown in the post you refer to (if anyone has such a C Scale Tipo 316 I'm willing to buy!) has larger wheels. For me they look like some John Day (ridiculously small) wheels, such as on the 8C Monza.

Weer een geweldig leuke keuze van Starline. Hulde voor dit duitse merk dat minder voordehand liggende italiaanse modellen durft te maken waar nog nooit een ander modelmerk aan gedacht heeft.

Valt me steeds weer op dat de kwaliteit van de Starline's niet altijd van hetzelfde niveau is. Ze maken perfecte modellen, mijn voorbeeld: de Lancia 2000 coupé. Maar ook mindere modellen, denk aan de 1750 berlina, ook met van die grove koplampringen, of de erg leuke Lancia Fulvia berlina, waarbij de voorschermen verschillend van vorm zijn helaas. Verschillende modelmakers?

Wat de kleuren betreft ga ik in dit geval voor de lichtgrijze. Die kleur past echt bij 'm vind ik... maar smaken verschillen gelukkig

I don't know the P3 model itself, however I do have the 1930 P2 by Classic Cars. Two things strike me when I compare it to your P3. First, the wheels of the P2 are better: better tires and largers rims. Secondly, the P2 has a very clear inscription on the bottom. Detail level and finesse of the kits are very comparable, but then this was pretty much the standard for handbuilts in these years. So I think the odds are against Classic Cars.
