Very nice models!

here are mine:

My favorit Penny model is the Giulia TI (as you can see )
I also have that 33 Periscopio from Speedy but not in box.

What a beautiful sight! These old Italian models are my favorites, especially Pennys and RJ series. As I see it, box isn't so important if the model is good, but if it is there, it's great bonus.

I'm interested whether you all collect just Alfa models or also other car brands?

Penny and the RJ series are among my favorits aswell altough its getting harder and harder to find them for good prices (especially the RJ series).
I personally only collect Alfa's but ofcourse i have some other brands aswell like some Fiat's, lancia, and even a few (italian made) Mercedes models.

ABC kondigt 1 exemplaar aan van de TZ in 1:10



Rest van de plaatjes laat erg mooie details zien.

Die is zeker mooi, zeg maar gerust een waar meesterwerk! Maar één exemplaar gemaakt, dat betekent dus dat alles met de hand vanuit het niets is gemaakt! Razendknap zoiets!
Er wordt geen prijs genoemd, maar reken er maar rustig op dat dit model vele duizenden Euro's moet opbrengen.

Voor de mensen die deze mails niet krijgen, hierbij de complete PDF (ik neem aan dat ABC er geen problemen mee zal hebben dat hun TZ1 hier wat extra exposure krijgt).

Interieur en de rest ga ik waarschijnlijk uitbesteden. Zou het zonde vinden als ik dit mooie model verpest.

Wat een bakbeest, Jan... een bijzondere aanwinst.

Opnieuw een originele keuze van Jolly Models:



De Conrero 1150 Sport Spider van 1960, op basis van de Giulietta Sprint Veloce, ingezet in de 24 uur van Le Mans van hetzelfde jaar.

Ook origineel (zoals helaas gewoonlijk) is de interpretatie van de verhoudingen.

Op deze Japanse site vond ik een paar fotootjes van de 1:1 auto. Dan blijkt dat de neuspartij van de Jolly een tikkie te lang is. Nou, een tikkie of drie, vier dan... De vorm van de voorruit klopt van geen kanten. Niet alleen maar minpunten: het grilletje is zeer verfijnd en ziet er best goed uit. Maar dan: waarom spaakwielen? Die horen er helemaal niet op.



Deze door Squadra Virgilio Conrero ingeschreven auto werd gereden door Bernard Costen (F) en Francesco de Leonibus (I) en viel na 96 ronden uit. Ook in de Targa Florio dat jaar moest de kleine tweezitter opgeven.

Zoals ook al bij eerdere modellen is de Jolly er in twee tinten rood:

Nog een plaatje gevonden, daar zit een andere voorruit op de auto en blijkt de Jolly op dat punt dus wél juist:

Googling around I ran into the same car (I already knew from this announcement), but until now I wasn't aware of the fact that it was mentioned for the same races, with the same racing numbers. Maybe it is the same car but partially rebuilt, maybe even twice (different types of windscreens). One of the Japanese sites states that it is the actual car that participated in the 1960 24 hrs. of Le Mans.

The car entered the Coppa di Tokai in the first three editions (2006 - 2008).

Smells fishy to me as nothing fits, from what we can see. The dashboard is Giulietta-like, while the Conrero was somewhat more crude, the shape is inspired at but decisely different - not only the weird nose, but the rear end...

Anyway, I care pretty little about the Japanese thing, I question the choice of the model by Jolly, the claim it would represent the LM racer is anyway pure fantasy, and moreover the model is way out of proportion - look at the length of thefront fender wrt the outlet side grille.
