Weet iemand bronnen en tips om zelf autobekleding te maken? Een boek liefst website.

Ben ik ook al naar op zoek geweest, en ik ben niet verder gekomen dan boeken over meubels bekleden/restaureren. En dat is toch net niet het zelfde.
Kijk anders een op de site van Tom Yang. Hij is al een aantal jeren een 250 GT 2+2 aan het restaureren en doet veel zelf. Ook het bekleden van de auto, maar dan wel met vakkundige hulp. Een leesbare site met vreselijk veel praktische restauratie-informatie waar je veel van kan leren, ook een deel van de theorie van het bekleden.
Inmiddels ben ik gewoon zelf voorzichtig begonnen. Eerst een armsteun, een zonneklep, een pookhoes. Geeft in elk geval wat gevoel met het materiaal.

Als je meer gevonden hebt hoor ik het graag.

Leuke site en ik heb er even een stukje tekst vanaf gehaald. Beetje off topic, maar wel leuk.

After a moment of thought and brewing anger, François replied, "Eh, what you you know?" Silence and shock fell upon the the gathering crowd, as Wayne tried desperately to pull François away from making a scene. ""you know f-----g nothing about Ferrari. what do you think we do at the factory when we run out of yellow paint, we go to the hardware store and get what ever color yellow there was- you know nothing!" Wayne said, "...of course I thought that was it, we were done,... but I think the rest of the judges knew François was right." They ended up winning the show!"

Haynes heeft een boek "Classic car interior restoration guide" waar een heleboel tips en werkwijzes instaan betreffende stoelbekleding, hemelbekleding deurpanelen etc.

Aan de hand van dit boek heb ik al eens nieuwe deurbekledingen gemaakt voor mijn Spider. Is redelijk gelukt al zeg ik het zelf

Toch raar dat er zoveel over bijvoorbeeld motoren en plaatwerken te vinden is en zo weinig over bekleding.
